The devotees and natives of temple wanted to vivify the temple. They wanted the temple to progress and by the blessing of lord Shiva all the natives, devotes attended a meeting under the chairing of Chirakkal Kovilakkam executive officer Mr. Soman. The different committee so far in the temple joined together by the blessing of Lord Shiva and a committee was formed whose motto was vivification of temple. Committee president Mr. P N Sasikumar, General Secretary Mr. A M Balakrishnan, Promoter Mr. K Madhavan, and Chirakkal Kovilakkam Trustee Mr. Bala Guruswami were elected and they started working for the progress of temple.
In 1998 January 1, 2, 3, world famous Pandit Sree Parapangadi Unnikrishnan “swarnaprasnam” was done. According to that the committee decided to make Sree Chovva Maha Shiva Temple
