It is believed that Devas like Indra and other devas will be doing pooja after the prathista of Lord Shiva. It is for this reason sreekovil is closed for two days and two nights. On this day, sreekovil is opened at 4.30am. This is “Nirmalyadarshanam”. This is very divine since we are seeing the Lord Shiva after the poojas done by Deva’s. it is said that the spiritual energy is increased and is same when Kanwa Maharshi did the Prathista in Dhwaparayuga. The temple becomes divine and powerful after this.

From 16.5.2011 onwards  “SHEEVELI, NAVAGAM” will be done three times everyday. It will be included in temple’s normal pooja from that day onwards.
